This Crochet Top is super easy to make.

The pattern uses only basic crochet stitches - doubles and chains.

Easy to adjust, you can make this top in a number of sizes.

I also provided size instructions below. You just need to measure the chest circumference and length of your hands and then crochet the top size accordingly.

The direction shown are for Teenage Girls/ Women XS size but can be easily converted into bigger size or smaller size – just by making the PANEL according to the your size.

Crop top is made with yarn DANTE:

DANTE: 100g / 160m / 100% acrylic

You will need 1 skein for XS - S size.

For this pattern you will need 6.0 mm crochet hook.

So let me now get started and tell you what you will need in order to crochet this ultra crop top with long sleeves. 

Difficulty Level: Level 1 – for beginners

US crochet terms:

SlSt – slip stitch
CH/s – chain/s
DC - double crochet
SC - single crochet
SK - skip
T - turn
ST/s - stitch(es)
REP - repeat
YO – yarn over

PATTERN NOTES

1) Before you start take a measurement of your body and a body measurement and a length of your hands. Please see the final measurement of the top below.

2) This pattern is for S/XS women size, but you can easily adapt to a smaller size or bigger size just by reducing or increasing the number of edging panel's rows. Remember that when making your top bigger you will need more yarn.

3) The top is crocheted as a one piece  

4) On every row with double crochet stitches replace the first stitch with 3 chain stitches.

5) The Crop top is symmetrical. You can wear front panel on front side or on back side or upside down. 

6) Instructions between two asterisks should be repeated for the remainder of the round

7) Measurement:

Front and back panel - length: 10 cm / 4 inch

Neck opening -: 30 cm / 11.7 inch

Front and back panel - width: 47 cm / 18.3 inch  

Sleeve length: 38 cm / 14.8 inch

Sleeve width: 14 cm / 5.5 inch

*Measurements are taken from the garment lying flat, before the yarn has stretched out/dropped.
I suggest trying on the top. The corners markers should meet underneath your arms on both sides. The top should fit over your bust.

WRITTEN PATTERN

Work in rows back and forth.

The length of the row is still the same and also the number of stitches.

Crochet hook 6.0 mm

Make a magic ring.

The number of chains is a multiple of 3.

I started with 141 chains.

FRONT PANEL

R1: ch3(dc) + ch2, work 1ds in 8th chain from your hook *ch2, skip ch2, dc in next st*, repeat from * to * till end of row (47 ch-sp)

R2: ch3(dc), *ch2, dc in dc*, repeat from * to * till end of row (47 ch-sp)

R3 - R6: repeat row R2

R7 – make a neck opening
ch3(dc), *ch2, dc in dc*, repeat from * to * till you make 18 ch-sp, ch32, skip 11 ch-sp, 1dc in dc, ch2, skip ch2, dc in next st*, repeat from * to * till end of row (18 ch-sp + 32 ch + 18 ch-sp)

BACK PANEL
R8: ch3(dc), *ch2, dc in dc*, repeat from * to * till you make 18 ch-sp, *ch2, skip ch2, dc in next st* repeat from * to * till you make 11ch-sp, *ch2, dc in dc*, repeat from * to * till you make 18 ch-sp till end of row (47 ch-sp)

R9 - R13: ch3(dc), *ch2, dc in dc*, repeat from * to * till end of row (47 ch-sp)

JOIN BOTH PANELS AND CREATE SLEEVES

R14: ch3(dc), sl st in 1st ch on front panel, *1sl st in next 2 ch, 1sl st in dc, 1dc in next dc on back panel* repeat from * to * till you make 15ch-sp.

Cut the yarn. Fasten off.

R14: re-join a new yarn in the corner on the opposite side

ch3(dc), sl st in 1st ch on front panel, *1sl st in next 2 ch, 1sl st in dc, 1dc in next dc on back panel* repeat from * to * till you make 15ch-sp.

Cut the yarn. Fasten off.

There are 17 ch-sp between sleeve and this creates the body opening.
