Crochet Summer Beach Top Pattern instructions
This Beach top is crochet from 2 parts - the cups joined together and the border crocheted as a one piece around the cups.
You need to measure the body circumference and crochet the border accordingly.
The direction shown are for women S size but can be easily converted into bigger size or smaller size – just by making the cups bigger or smaller and the bottom border part according to the circumference of your body.
The pattern was made with yarn Johanka.
Johanka: 50g / 160m, 55 % cotton + 45 % acrylic
For this skirt S size you will need 1 skeins of Johanka yarn for one color top or
2 skeins and use a half of each skein to have 2 colors top.
Color A: yellow
Color B: orange
For this pattern you will need 3.00 mm crochet hook and 3.5 mm crochet hook.

Pattern Notes
1) Before you start take a measurement of your body (please see the final measurement of the summer beach top).
2) This pattern is for S women size, but you can easily adapt to a smaller size or bigger size just by reducing or increasing the number of ch and rows. Remember that when making your beach top bigger you will need more yarn.
3) A Ch 2 at beg of the row DOESN'T count as dc throughout
4) A Ch 1 at beg of the row DOESN'T count as sc throughout
5) The Beach top is made uo of 2 parts = 2 same cups and then a border around with 2 straps on the top of V-neck

CUPS
Crochet hook 3.00 mm
Color A
foundation chain: 18 ch
work in rows
a ch1 and a ch2 at beg doesn't count as a sc
R1: 1sc in 2nd ch from hook, *1dc in next st, 1sc in next* repeat from * to * till end of row, turn (17 st in one row)
R2: ch2, 1dc in 1st st, *1sc in next st, 1dc in next st* repeat from * to * till end of row, turn
R3: ch1, 1sc in 1st st, *1dc in next st, 1sc in next st* repeat from * to * till end of row, turn
Repeat R2 - R3, make 13 rows
Square 8 x 8 cm, 3.1 x 3.1 inch
R13: ch1, 1sc in 1st st, *1dc in next st, 1sc in next st* to * repeat from * to * till last st in row, (1sc, 1dc, 1sc) in last st, don't turn!
continue crocheting along next side: *1dc in next st, 1sc in next st * repeat from * to * 8 times till end of row, turn (17 + 1 + 17 = 35 st in total)
R14: ch2, 1dc in 1st st, *1sc in next st, 1dc in next st* repeat from * to * till end of row, turn (35 st)
R15: ch1, 1sc in 1st st, *1dc in next st, 1sc in next st* repeat from * to * till end of row, turn (35 st)
Repeat R14 and R15 and make 12 rows, finish with R25
Triangle: side measurement: 17 cm x 17 cm x 17 cm, 6.6 inch x 6.6 inch x 6.6 inch
Make 2 cups:
first cup A - finish with R25, cut the yarn and fasten off
second cup B - don't cut the yarn - let's join both cups with working yan
Join both cups together with same yarn and same crochet hook
crochet hook 3.0 mm

Make a slip knot
Start on top of CUP B
Chain 55 cm / 21.7 inch long foundation chain, turn
1sl st in 2nd ch from hook, 1sl st in each ch till end of chain.
Cut the yarn and fasten off.
Make a second STRAP on top of CUP A as well.
JOIN BACK PANELS
Pull the STRAPS through the end stitches of BORDER from top dow, "zig-zag".
Make a knot or a bow to join both STRAPS ends together.
My Crochet Beach Top measures in total (19 + 17 + 17 + 19) 72 cm / (7.5 + 6.7 + 6.7 + 7.5) 28.4 inch wide and border is 12 cm / 4.7 inch tall.
Front part (border with cups) is 31 cm 12.2 inch tall.
You can easily work this to fit any size you need!
