Crochet pattern for stretchy leg warmers - easy for beginners
Hello My Crochet Friends! Beautiful day everyone!
Today I have a tutorial for you on easy crochet leg warmers. For these leg warmers, I chose a very simple stretchy pattern using single crochets and half double crochets. I love using this technique for necklines, sleeves, and hats.
Crocheting is very easy and quick! You only need one skein of yarn for one leg warmer. I chose Chipaka chunky yarn in black, gray, and white. You can easily adjust the size by adding or removing rows. You can also adjust the number of stitches in the top and bottom edges, and the stitches in the middle of the leg warmer.
Enjoy crocheting and keep your feet warm!

INSTRUCTIONS AND NOTES
1) These leg warmers are worked flat in one piece.
2) The size can be adjusted by changing the length of the starting chain.
3) The first chain stitch of each row doesn't count as a stitch.
4) Once you've completed the rectangle, sew the long sides together.
5) For a finished touch, add a drawstring with tassels.
6) Size according to the chosen hook: width: 32 cm. Height: 28 cm.
Size may vary depending on your crochet tension.

THE WRITTEN PATTERN
Start with a foundation chain of 24.
Row 1: Chain 1, slip stitch into the 2nd chain from the hook, slip stitch into the next 3 chains, single crochet into the next 16 chains, slip stitch into the next 4 chains. Turn. (24 stitches)
Row 2: Chain 1, slip stitch into the next 4 stitches in the back loop only, single crochet into the next 16 stitches, slip stitch into the next 4 stitches in the back loop only. Turn. (24 stitches)
Repeat row 2 until you reach the desired length. I worked 26 rows for a women's size.
The rectangle measures 28 cm at the top, 32 cm in the middle, and 28 cm in height.
Once you've crocheted the rectangle to your desired size, it's time to seam the sides. I chose to use slip stitches, working into the back loop of each stitch on both sides. This creates a nice pattern on the right side.
Weave in all the ends.
Turn the leg warmer right side out, and you're done!
Repeat the process for the other leg warmer.
HURRAY! WARM CROCHETED LEG WARMERS MADE FROM CHUNKY CHIPAKA YARN ARE READY! I HOPE YOU ENJOY THEM AND THEY KEEP YOU WARM!
