Easy-to-crochet bright and elegant dress in blue tones
Have a wonderful day everyone!
Do you enjoy crocheting dresses? What about a dress made from a sparkly yarn? Lurex thread adds a touch of luxury and elegance to any dress.
I have a new pattern for you for a romantic-style crocheted dress with a simple, airy pattern and a relief pattern in the upper and lower parts. The dress is crocheted from the top down from two skeins of Papatya Cake Silver yarn.
This yarn is my favorite; I've used it to crochet a wonderful cowl with a hood, for example. The yarn has interesting color transitions from dark blue to sky blue, light blue, and white. I chose to shade the dark blue in the upper and lower parts.
The dress is crocheted from a circular foundation, which gradually widens. I chose a relief puff stitch pattern for the foundation. You can adjust the foundation to a larger or smaller size. Once you are satisfied with the height and width of the foundation, we will join the foundation and continue crocheting the body of the dress. This part is very easy; we crochet a simple V-stitch pattern.
Again, we crochet to the desired length and at the end, we slightly widen the skirt and crochet a relief pattern from puff stitches. The dress is beautifully coordinated in both color and pattern. The dress has a simple, timeless cut and style that can be worn throughout the year.
The dress can be made in any size and can be easily adapted to your exact measurements while crocheting! Even a beginner can try it! Doesn't that sound amazing?
In my video tutorial, I will guide you through every step of crocheting so that you can customize each part to your liking and crochet a wonderful romantic dress that fits you perfectly.

CROCHETED ROMANTIC LUXURY SKY BLUE DRESS
This dress is designed for beginners; we crochet a simple V-stitch pattern using double crochets and chain stitches, complemented by a relief puff stitch. The puff stitch might be a bit more challenging to crochet, but since we repeat the puff stitch pattern, you'll quickly memorize it, and everything else will be easy. Everything is shown in detail in the video tutorial, and I believe even a beginner can try crocheting these romantic dresses.

MATERIALS
What will you need to crochet this CROCHETED ROMANTIC LUXURY SKY BLUE DRESS?
Papatya Silver Cake yarn: www.vlnika.cz/z21871-prize-papatya-cake-silver
1 ball = 150 g / 540 m, 95% acrylic + 5% polyester
Acrylic yarn with lurex thread in beautiful color combinations and a popular "cake" packaging. Suitable for knitting original scarves, sweaters, coats, .... The finished products have an elegant look.
Yarn consumption: 2 balls
You'll also need:
Hook: 3.5 and 4.0 mm
Sewing needle
Markers for marking 4 corners
Scissors
With these materials on hand, you'll be all set to start crocheting your stylish crop top!
Difficulty Level: Level 1 – Easy, for beginners
US crochet terms:
SlSt – slip stitch
CH/s – chain/s
SC - single crochet
DC - double crochet
SK - skip
T - turn
ST/s - stitch(es)
REP – repeat
SPECIAL STITCH: PUFF STITCH
The puff stitch is a great way to create an interesting texture on your crochet projects. It's essentially a group of half double crochets that are all worked together into a single stitch.
How to:
- Yarn over.
- Insert your hook into the designated stitch and pull up a loop.
- Repeat: Yarn over and insert your hook into the same stitch and pull up another loop. Repeat this step as many times as you want puffs in your stitch (usually 3-4).
- To join: You now have several loops on your hook. Yarn over and pull through all loops on your hook at once.
Tips:
- Number of loops: The more loops you use, the puffier your stitch will be.
- Tension: Try to keep your tension consistent while creating all loops for an even puff.
- Pattern: Puff stitches look great when combined with other stitches, such as double crochets or chain stitches.

NOTES ON THE PATTERN
- Crochet dress - size - is crocheted in a girl's size, 165 cm, or a women's size XS as a tunic. The dress has an elastic pattern and fits the figure nicely. The dress has a classic, simple cut and style, and slightly flares at the bottom over the hips.
- The dress is crocheted from a circular foundation from the top down, and you can try it on as you crochet to adjust the size.
- The pattern uses chain stitches and double crochets. The double crochets create a very simple V-stitch pattern. Additionally, the pattern uses puff stitches in the upper and lower parts.
- You can easily crochet a dress or tunic by crocheting more rows in the "body" of the dress or repeating the puff stitch pattern in the lower part.
- 3 chain stitches at the beginning of the row serve as a substitute for a double crochet.
- The dress is crocheted in continuous rounds, gradually increasing with each repetition of the pattern. The row is joined with a slip stitch at the end of each round.
- If you want a longer dress, repeat the last few rows of the pattern until you reach the desired length. You can also widen the dress according to the instructions.
How to crochet this dress:
Discover the magic of top-down raglan crochet with this pattern!
This dress is worked seamlessly from the top down, starting with a circular yoke. I adore this method because it allows for a perfect fit every time.
One of the best things about top-down raglan crochet is the flexibility. You can easily customize the fit as you go! Need a little more room under the arms? Just add a few more rounds to the yoke before dividing.
Want a longer or shorter top? Simply adjust the number of rows. Even beginners can master this technique with its simple pattern and endless customization options.
CROCHETED ROMANTIC LUXURY SKY BLUE DRESS
CONSTRUCTION
This DRESS is made up of three main parts:
YOKE: Start with a foundation chain and work in the round to create a beautiful, flowing neckline. Increase stitches evenly in each round to gradually widen the yoke. The combination of V-stitches and puff stitches adds a touch of elegance.
BODY: Once you've finished the yoke, divide it to form armholes and continue working in rows. The simple V-stitch pattern creates a classic look. Adjust the length to your liking by repeating rows as needed.
SKIRT: The skirt is crafted using the same delightful puff stitch pattern as the yoke. Customize the length and fullness to suit your style.
