Crochet Cute Fans Dress with Ruffles for little girls
Hello My Crochet Friends!
Last week I showed you the tutorial How to crochet cute girl's skirt with ruffles - a beautiful fluffy ballet skirt that I hope you and your little dancers and ballerinas enjoyed!
The skirt is really wonderful, it has beautiful color transitions in a purple tone. It is crocheted with luxurious Lotus Lux yarn with a metallic thread that sparkles and shines beautifully, but the main role here is played by Vlnika's Megan ruffle yarn.
And as soon as I finished crocheting and tried it on, I got a request to make a dress out of the skirt.
Basically, it wasn't a problem, it was quite easy to crochet the yoke and body onto the dresses and the skirt, which I already had ready, I crocheted to the top.
I used the rest of the Lotus Lux yarn and completed the top with the pleasant Alize Miss yarn.
You now have 2 patterns for 3 things - you can crochet a top or tunic, a skirt or even a whole dress!
The dress is with small fans, suitable for summer but can also be worn with a T-shirt and leggings all year round, for kindergarten but also for more festive events, photo shoots or birthdays and parties.
The dress has an easy pattern and construction, it is crocheted from top to bottom and gradually increasing - I believe that even beginners can easily master this top or the whole dress.
It can be adjusted to any size very easily. I hope it will bring you a lot of joy and cheerful moments not only this summer, but throughout the year.
In the pattern I use double crochets, trebles, fans and chain stitches.
The ruffle yarn is crocheted together with the skirt, simply when crocheting the pattern, we connect the ruffle yarn and crochet with both yarns at the same time.
Skirts can be easily adjusted to a larger or smaller size, more or less ruffled, longer or shorter - you can find how to do this in the instructions below.
The pattern is for 2-years old girls. However, there are directions on increasing and decreasing the size.
The entire dress is only one piece as its crocheted in the round from the neck down and there isn’t any extra seaming to join the dress together.
The pattern is available here below for free. It comes with a video guide as well.

Megan ruffle yarn: 100g / 15m / 46% acrylic + 14% polyester + 40 wool

For girls' - children's - dresses / tops, one ball of Alize Miss, one ball of Lotus Lux and 2/3 ball of Megan.
For this pattern you will need 3.5 mm crochet hook.
Scissors and tapestry needle
4 STITCH markers
Difficulty Level: Level 1 – Easy, for beginners
US crochet term:
YO - yarn over
SlSt – slip stitch
CH/s – chain/s
SC – simple crochet
HDC - half double crochet
DC - double crochet
TR - treble
DC2TOG = double crochet 2 stitches together
SK - skip
T - turn
ST/s - stitch(es)
REP - repeat
Special stitches: CLUSTER STITCH
Although any cluster stitch is a more intermediate level stitch, once you know the basics of crochet, it's easy to learn. There are several variations of cluster stitch, but they all come together the same way. To make a crochet cluster, you start a basic crochet stitch like double crochet or treble, but you don't complete the stitch. Then you make several more partial crochet stitches all in the same stitch base. Finally, with several active stitches on your hook, you do one final yarn over and draw it through all the loops.
3 DC CLUSTER: YO, insert hook in space, YO, draw up a loop, YO, draw through 2 loops. (2 loops left on hook) YO, insert hook back into same space, YO, draw up a loop, YO, draw through 2 loops. (3 loops left on hook) YO, insert hook back into same space, YO, draw up a loop, YO, draw through 2 loops. (4 loops left on hook) YO and draw through all 4 loops.
Pattern Notes
1) Before you start take a neckline circumference and a bust circumference measurement.
I started with 104 chains for neckline.
2) This pattern is for 2years old girls size but you can changed to bigger size by making more or less chains of the foundation chain. Remember that when making your dress bigger you will need more yarn.
3) This dress is created from the top and down so the body and skirt length/width are customizable.
I suggest trying on the dress at the end of the ‘YOKE’, ‘BODY/WAIST’ and ‘SKIRT’ instructions. You can add or remove rounds after each stage to customize fit.
4) The dress is symmetrical.
5) The entire dress is only one piece as its crocheted in the round from the neck down and there isn’t any extra seaming to join the dress together.
6) Instructions between two asterisks should be repeated for the remainder of the round
7) Measurement:
Neckline: 43 cm / 16.8 inch
Yoke hight: 11 cm / 4.3 inch
Sleeve circumference: 10 cm / 4 inch
Body circumference: 50 cm / 19.5 inch
Top length: 18 cm / 7 inch
Dress length: 30 cm / 11.7 inch
Waist: 56 cm / 21.8 inch
Skirt length: 14 cm / 5.5 inch
Bottom border: 160 cm / 62 inch
*Measurements are taken from the garment lying flat, before the yarn has stretched out/dropped.
I suggest trying on the top. The corners markers should meet underneath your arms on both sides. The top should fit over your bust.

*Poznámka šířce a délce sedla:
Pokud chcete mít sedlo širší pokračujte v rozšiřování.
Pokud chcete mít sedlo užší a delší, pokračujte bez rozšiřování.
Pokud máte dostatečně široké a dlouhé sedlo šatů, můžeme se pustit do rozdělení sedla na přední a zadní díl a na rukávky.
*Note on the width and length of the yoke:
If you want the yoke to be wider, continue to increase.
If you want the yoke narrower and longer, continue without increasing.
If you are satisfied with the width and length of the yoke, we can start dividing the yoke into front and back parts and sleeves.
TIME TO DIVIDE THE CROCHETED YOKE INTO 4 PARTS AND CREATE THE SLEEVES.
Let's ASSEMBLY FRONT and BACK PANEL and make a DRESS BODY.
INSTRUCTIONS:
We divide the crocheted part into 4 parts as follows:
7 groups for the front part (fans, dc group, fans, dc group, fans, dc group, fans)
6 groups per sleeve (dc group, fans, dc group, fans, dc group, fans)
7 groups for the back part (dc group, fans, dc group, fans, dc group, fans, dc group)
6 groups per sleeve (fans, dc group, fans, dc group, fans, dc group)
We have stitch markers placed between groups in chain-one spaces.
Now we will join the front and back part to each other, skip the separated part to the sleeves.
We do not turn the work, we have the right side facing us.
We continue crocheting with the same or new COLOR B yarn and the same crochet hook, at the place where we finished the yoke.
R10: INCREASING
joint he new yarn in the place where you put the stitch marker. The stitch marker is on the seam of the front and back panel.
