Crocheted shimmering scarf with an elegant wave pattern
Have a great day, everyone!
In today’s tutorial, I’m excited to show you how to crochet a beautiful and elegant scarf with an airy wave pattern. I love this design because it’s both simple and eye-catching, without overpowering the rest of your outfit.
I chose an airy pattern, making the scarf wonderfully fluffy and light. The best part? It’s easy to remember! The pattern repeats row by row, alternating crochet stitches with chain stitches, forming lovely waves. The repeat is just 16 stitches per row and 4 rows back and forth. No complicated counting or calculations—just quick, easy crocheting that shapes the scarf beautifully before your eyes.
This scarf is made with Angora Gold Simli yarn, a yarn with a subtle lurex thread that gives it a touch of shimmer, making it truly elegant. I picked a lovely, soft old-pink color that’s perfect for pairing with dresses, jackets, coats—basically any wardrobe!
I’d love to hear from you—what color did you choose? What outfits will you pair your scarf with?
Crocheting this piece is a breeze: just make a very long rectangle, and when you're satisfied with the length, crochet back and forth across the rows. You can even add fringes or tassels at the ends to give it a personal touch!
This scarf is perfect year-round as a stylish accessory or to keep you cozy from autumn through spring. The best part? You can easily adjust it to any size, your taste, and your style. Even beginners can dive in and enjoy the process! Doesn’t that sound wonderful? Let’s start crocheting together!

PATTERN NOTES
1) Before you start take a measurement, I would recommend to determine the length of your scarf. If you want to have your scarf longer, make a longer foundation chain at the beginning.
2) This pattern is for MEDIUM women size, but you can easily adapt to a smaller size or bigger size just by reducing or increasing the number of chains and rows for the Scarf and as well as making less or more chains in the basic chain.
3) The Scarf is crocheted as a simple long rectangle, back and forth in rows. While crocheting, you can test how the width will fit you and crochet the required number of rows accordingly.
4) The pattern is a 16 st repeat. Chain a multiple of 16 + 1 st for the foundation chain. The pattern is repeated after 4 rows.
5) A ch4 at beg of row counts as a treble. A ch1 at beg of the row DOESN'T COUNT as a stitch.
6) The Scarf measures:
width: 20 cm / 7.8 inch
width: 205 cm / 80 inch
