Crochet sparkling festive placemat - two sizes
Have a Lovely Day!
Happy last week of the year! And here's my last tutorial for this year. Ready for a crochet adventure? I've prepared a pattern for a beautiful placemat with a simple repeating pattern that anyone can handle. Besides a detailed written pattern, I've also created a video tutorial where I explain and demonstrate the entire process.
With this original placemat, you can wonderfully enhance your coffee or dinner moments. This crocheted placemat made with shimmering Katka Lurex yarn is exactly what will create the perfect festive atmosphere. Its versatile design is suitable for both everyday use and special occasions.
Whether you use it as a coaster, a plate mat, or even as an interesting blanket, it will always be an eye-catching piece.
The pattern is adapted for beginners, so anyone can handle it. All you need is a little time and a ball of Katka Lurex yarn, and in no time you'll have the first rows finished.
Crocheting is a great way to relax and unwind. Plus, you'll create an amazing gift that will delight anyone.
Choose from two sizes - smaller as a coaster and larger as a plate mat. Thanks to its elegant look and practical use, this placemat is not only a great addition to your home, but it will also delight your friends and loved ones.
Why choose Katka Lurex yarn? Its delicate sheen adds a touch of luxury to your placemat and creates a cozy atmosphere in your home. Plus, crocheting with it is very pleasant due to its structure.
So don't hesitate and start creating!

INSTRUCTIONS AND NOTES
TIPS AND TRICKS
- Remember, the first chain stitch in each row doesn't count as a stitch.
- We'll be working in closed rows. At the end of each row, close your work with sl st in the first st and chain 3 or ch 1 to start the next row.
- In the pattern, 3 chain stitches at the beginning of a row replace one single crochet.
- I recommend starting with a magic ring and working in continuous rounds. Finish each round with a slip stitch into the 3rd chain stitch at the beginning of the round.
- ( ) - the number in parentheses indicates the number of stitches in the row after completing the entire row.
- Placemat size - diameter:
- smaller: 18 cm
- larger: 35 cm
- Size may vary depending on crochet tension and yarn.
- You can crochet the placemat to any size you like. For a larger placemat, add more rows. If you use a thicker yarn, the placemat will be larger and firmer.
