Crochet Christmas Table placemat or tablecloth
Hello My Crochet Friends!
Crochet placemats are the perfect gift throughout the year and for any occasion. Most probably during Christmas holidays. Everyone has a table that they are going to decorate nicely. It's wonderful to have an amazing table with a stylish crochet tablemat or blanket, you can choose classic neutral colors or choose Christmas colors - green, red or gold or silver.
For this tutorial, I have chosen a simple pattern and an easy crochet Christmas placemat for your table. And what's more - it's fun to create and conjure up an even nicer home.
The crocheted Christmas tablemat follows a series of small Christmas ornaments and decorations during the Christmas holidays.
Since autumn, I have been looking forward to crocheted Christmas decorations and little things for joy. A crocheted Christmas blanket is such a timeless classic and a nice gift.
The placemat is a continuation of crocheting from Macrome Lurex yarn, from which I have already crocheted a Christmas tree.

CROCHET CHRISTMAS TABLE PLACEMAT - MATERIALS
I have used a macrame yarn you like or any yarn you like but different yarn weights will produce different sized tablemat.
The pattern was made with:
Macrome Lurex Mocha yarn: 250 g / 200 m / 60 % cotton / 40 % polyester / 10 % lurexhttps://www.vlnika.cz/z15302-prize-macrome-lurex-mocha
4.5 mm crochet hook
Scissors
Sewing/Embroidery and yarn needle/tapestry needle for sewing pieces together and weaving in ends
Marker
Difficulty Level: Level 1 – Easy, for beginners
US crochet terms:
SlSt – slip stitch
CH/s – chain/s
SC - single crochet
DC - double crochet
TR - treble
SK - skip
T - turn
ST/s - stitch(es)
REP – repeat
Special stitches:
DC3TOG = double crochet 3 stitches together
DC2TOG instructions: The TOG crochet abbreviation is simply shorthand for “together,” while the beginning determines the type of stitch. In this case, SC2 stands for “single crochet two.”, DC2 stands for "double crochet two", DC3 stands for "double crochet three" etc.
How to decrease with dc3tog: yarn over, insert hook in next stitch, yarn over and pull yarn through 2 loops (2 loops on hook), yarn over, insert hook in next stitch, yarn over and pull yarn through 2 loops (3 loops on hook), yarn over, insert hook in next stitch, yarn over and pull yarn through 2 loops (4 loops on hook), yarn over and pull yarn through all 4 loops on hook
