The lace pattern highlights intricate details, and the golden thread border adds a festive, elegant touch.

The angel is perfect as a Christmas decoration, but it also makes a thoughtful gift for loved ones—it can adorn a Christmas tree, wreath, or be part of a holiday display. The pattern is designed for experienced beginners, allowing you to try something a bit more intricate. The instructions are simple yet deliver a beautiful result, sure to delight anyone who loves handmade crafts.

One of the best things about this project is that you only need a small amount of yarn. Just one skein of Violka and a little golden thread for the border will do the trick! While traditional white suits this angel wonderfully, feel free to crochet it in other colors to match your holiday decor.

To guide you through the process, I've also prepared a detailed video tutorial, walking you through each step so even beginners can join in the fun.

This angel is quick to make, and you can easily tailor it to your style. I hope it brings a touch of magic to your holiday season and spreads joy to everyone you share it with.

Have fun!

CROCHET CUTE LITTLE ANGELS

MATERIALS AND DIRECTIONS:

This very CUTE ANGEL is very easy and super quick crochet project, you just need to know how to crochet single crochet stitch and how to increase and how to decrease.

So let me now get started and tell you what you will need in order to crochet this CUTE ANGEL.

Yarn - Choose yarn from the recommended yarn or your favorite toy yarn.

For this pattern you will need 2.0 mm crochet hook.
Scissors
Sewing/Embroidery and yarn needle/tapestry needle for sewing pieces together and weaving in ends
Markers
Stuffing

CROCHET CUTE LITTLE ANGEL

Difficulty Level: Level 1 – Easy, for beginners

US crochet terms:

SlSt – slip stitch
CH/s – chain/s
SC - single crochet
DS - double crochet
sc2tog - 2 single crochet decrease, 2sc together

SK - skip
T - turn
ST/s - stitch(es)
REP – repeat

SC2TOG = 2 single crochets together

Special stitches used:
Single Crochet Decrease (sc2tog)

A crochet decrease makes the current row or round that you are working on shorter than the one previous to it.

1.  Insert hook into the first stitch.
2.  Yarn over and draw through the loop.
3.  Do not complete the stitch as normal.
4.  Instead, insert the hook into the next stitch.
5.  Yarn over and draw through the loop.
6.  There should now be three loops on your hook
7.  Yarn over and draw through all three loops on the hook
8.  You should now have two single crochet stitches side-by-side, joined together into one stitch at the top.

This pattern requires familiarity with stitches used, attaching yarn and sewing parts together with a sewing needle.

CROCHETED CUTE LITTLE LACE ANGEL FROM VIOLKA – INSTRUCTIONS AND NOTES

HEAD

  1. In the pattern, ch1 at the beginning of a row does not count as a stitch.
  2. I recommend starting with a magic ring and working in spiral roundc.
  3. Crocheting in spiral roundc: It’s helpful to crochet in spiral roundc, where you don’t join the round with a slip stitch but continue seamlessly into the next round. To keep track of roundc, mark the beginning or end with a stitch marker to easily count stitches.
  4. ( ) – The number in parentheses indicates the stitch count after completing the entire row.

BODY, WINGS, AND DRESS

5) In the pattern, ch3 at the beginning of a row counts as a DOUBLE crochet stitch.

6) Start with a magic ring and work in closed roundc.

7) Crocheting in closed roundc: End each round with a slip stitch into the 3rd chain from the start of the round.

8) Angel Size: Approximately 12.5 cm tall and 7 cm wide.

9) If you’d like the ANGEL to be a smaller or larger figure, simply use a smaller or larger hook and adjust the yarn size.

10) Minimal sewing is required in this project—only the head need to be sewn onto the body, as indicated in the instructions below.

The finished size will depend on what yarn you use, as well as your tension and hook (as with any amigurumi).

*Measurements are taken from the garment lying flat, before the yarn has stretched out/dropped.
