INSTRUCTIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
The crocheted Christmas ball is a wonderful design decoration that can be easily crocheted by a more experienced beginner. You can play with different color variations. I crocheted with a bright cotton yarn LASIE.
MATERIALS What do we need?
- Yarn - I chose a pleasant, thin, effective cotton yarn with a shiny lurex thread.
- Lasie
https://www.vlnika.cz/z26114-prize-lasie - Ball: 50 g / 150 m / 95% cotton + 5% lurex
- Crochet hook: 2.5 mm
- Optional: Styrofoam or plastic ball
- Sewing needle and embroidery needle
- Scissors
Difficulty Level: Level 1 – Easy, for beginners
US crochet terms:
SlSt – slip stitch
CH/s – chain/s
SC - single crochet
SK - skip
T - turn
ST/s - stitch(es)
REP – repeat
How to crochet PUFF STITCH
- Yarn over and insert your hook into the desired stitch. This is where you want your puff stitch to be.
- Yarn over and pull up a loop. You should now have two loops on your hook.
- Repeat step 2 for a total of 4 times. You now have five loops on your hook.
- Yarn over and pull through all seven loops on your hook. You have now completed one puff stitch.
Additional tips:
- Tension: Keep your tension consistent throughout the stitch to create an even puff.
- Number of loops: You can adjust the number of loops to create puffs of different sizes. More loops will create a larger puff.
- Placement: Puff stitches can be worked into any stitch, but they often look best when worked into a chain space or a turning chain.

- We'll be working in rows, back and forth. At the end of each row, turn your work and chain 1 to start the next row.
- BALL SIZE: CIRCUMFERENCE: 21 cm The size of your ball might vary depending on how tightly or loosely you crochet.
