Crocheted Cute Bunny Ears for a Chunky Hat Easy & Fun!
Good day, my dear friends!
Let's continue crocheting and add some fun bunny ears to our cozy beanie.
The ears are crocheted with the same chunky Superlana Maxi yarn and the same easy stitch as the hat.
The pattern is perfect for beginners. The ears are simple to make and can be customized to your liking.
In the video tutorial, I'll show you how to adjust the length and width of the ears.
Bunny ears are a fun and trendy addition to any hat.

CROCHETED BUNNY EARS
Crocheting these Cute Bunny Ears beanie is really easy and you'll be surprised at how quickly it comes together – crocheting with a larger hook and the half double stitch pattern makes it go by quickly. You can play with different color combinations and I'm sure you'll enjoy the pattern as much as I did!
The yarn used for this pattern is:
Superlana Maxi 100g, 100m, 75% acrylic, 25% wool https://www.vlnika.cz/z17159-prize-superlana-maxi
For a child, you'll only need ONE ball of this wonderful, soft, and durable wool.
I really love Superlana Maxi yarn, it's great to work with and the finished projects last a long time.
You will also need:
a stitch marker, scissors, a yarn needle, and ideally a measuring tape.
Hook: 8.0 mm
US crochet terms:
SlSt – slip stitch
CH/s – chain/s
CHSP - chain space
HDC - half double crochet
SK - skip
T - turn
ST/s - stitch(es)
REP - repeat
YO – yarn over

PATTERN NOTES

The pattern below is designed for a girl's size, but you can easily adjust it to your exact size by simply adding or removing stitches and rows. Keep in mind that a larger size will require more yarn than specified above.

The ears are crocheted in a continuous spiral from the top down.

CROCHETED BUNNY EARS

R1: ch1, 4 hdc in magic ring, close round with sl st in 1st st at beg, turn (4 st)
R2: ch1, 2 hdc in each st, close round with sl st in 1st st at beg, turn (8 st)
R3: ch1, 1 hdc in each st, close round with sl st in 1st st at beg, turn (8 st)
R4: ch1, *1 hdc in next 3 st, 2 hdc in next 2 st* repeat from * to * till end of round close round with sl st in 1st st at beg, turn (10 st)
R5: ch1, 1 hdc in each st, close round with sl st in 1st st at beg, turn (10 st)
R6: ch1, *1 hdc in next 4 st, 2 hdc in next 2 st* repeat from * to * till end of round, close round with sl st in 1st st at beg, turn (12 st)

FINISHING
Crochet two identical ears. Sew the ears to the hat in your desired position. I sewed mine a bit towards the back, about 15 cm apart.
Weave in all the loose ends.
Turn the hat right side out, fluff it up, and you're done! You've made a beautiful crocheted beanie with cute bunny ears, perfect for winter.
