CROCHET DONUT CHUNKY SLOUCHY BEANIES for KIDS - DIRECTIONS
So let me now get started and tell you what you will need in order to crochet this DONUT CHUNKY SLOUCHY BEANIES.
This CROCHET DONUT CHUNKY SLOUCHY BEANIES is very fun and quick to make.
The pattern uses only basic crochet stitch - half double crochet stitch.
This easy-to-fit BEANIE is a crocheter's dream, made with the HALF DOUBLE CROCHET stitches ONLY! The beanie is worked from top down, worked in SPIRAL rounds.
I am including TODDLERS, CHILD AND TEENAGE sizes and you can easily change the sizing by making the BEANIE smaller or bigger.
For these 3 BEANIES you will need ONLY ONE BALL of PAPATYA DONUT CHUNKY yarn.
This yarn made from acrylic, so it’s super soft, chunky, affordable, and really easy to care for.
Plus, this stronger yarn is in a non-traditional package. After removing the label and cutting the connecting thread, the yarn can be unwound beautifully. Ideal for knitting and crocheting warmer models.
Yarn Weight: Medium #4
Yardage: 170gr / 6oz, 196m / 215yd
Scissors and tapestry needle
Crochet hook: 6.5 and 5.5 mm
Difficulty Level: Level 1 – Easy, for beginners

Pattern Notes
1) These written patterns below are for TODDLER, CHILD AND TEENAGE size, these can be easily adapted to a smaller size or bigger size just by reducing or increasing the numbers of HDC stitches and as well as less or more numbers of rows. Remember that when making bigger hat size, you will need more yarn.
Teenage Size:
Head measurement: 21 inch / 50 - 54 cm
Had length: 10.5 inch / 27 cm
Hat circumference: 18.8 inch / 48 cm
Kids Size 3-4 YEARS
Head measurement: 18.7 inch / 48 cm
Had length: 8.8 inch / 22.5 cm
Hat circumference: 17 inch / 43 cm
Toddler Size 1-2 YEARS
Head measurement: 18 inc / 46 cm
Had length: 6.8 inch / 17.5 cm
Hat circumference: 16 inch / 41 cm
2) This SLOUCHY BEANIE is crocheted in rounds from the top down using HDC stitches.
3) A Ch 1 at beg of the row doesn‘t count as stitch
4) Magic ring = the starting point for crocheting in a spiral. Use which ever method you prefer.
5) Continuous rounds - SLOUCHY BEANIE is worked up in continuous rounds, which means that you will not be joining the last stitch of the round with the first one. Instead you will need to keep track of where each round started and how many stitches you have made because after each round you will continue right on to the stitches of the next round (with no join). It is useful to use a stitch marker or piece of yarn to mark the start or end of each round.
6) ( ) – The number of stitches that should be in a completed round/row are placed in brackets at the end of that round’s/row’s instructions.
