Scissors and tapestry needle

CROCHET SUMMER BUCKET HAT PATTERN SIZE:

Size: bellow there is a pattern for girls size and for woman size.

Girls Size

Head measurement: 20 inch / 52 cm

Adult Women Size:

Head measurement: 21.5 inch / 56 cm

The CROCHET SUMMER BUCKET HAT PATTERN can easily be adapted to a smaller size or bigger size.

SUMMER BUCKET HAT PATTERN NOTES

1) These pattern below is for girls size, this can be easily adapted to a smaller size or bigger size just by reducing or increasing the numbers of stitches and as well as less or more numbers of rows. Remember that when making bigger hat size, you will need more yarn.

Girls Size

Head measurement: 20 inch / 52 cm

Adult Women Size:

Head measurement: 21.5 inch / 56 cm

2) This Hat is crocheted in rounds from the top down using double crochet stitches and chains and the lower using only single crochet stitches.

3) A Ch 3 at beg of the row counts as stitch, Ch 3 = DC

4) The topper part is crocheted in closed rounds

5) The bottom part is crocheted in continues rounds, using single crochet stitches.

6) A Ch 1 at beg of the row counts as stitch

Make a magic circle.

Work in rounds

R1: ch3 (1dc) + ch1, (1dc in magic ring + ch1) repeat around 7 times, sl st in the 3rd ch from beg. (8 dc + ch1)

R2: ch3 (1dc), 1dc in ch1sp + ch2, *2dc in next ch1sp + ch2*, repeat around from * to * st in the 3rd ch from beg (8 groups of 2dc + ch2)

R3: ch3 (1dc) + ch3, *2dc in next ch2sp + ch3) * repeat around from * to * finish with 1dc in last ch2sp and sl st in the 3rd ch from beg. (8 groups of 2dc + ch3)

R4: ch3 (1dc), 1dc in ch3sp + ch1 + 1dc in same ch3sp + ch1, *2dc in next ch3sp + ch1 + 2dc in same ch3sp + ch1*, repeat around from * to * st in the 3rd ch from beg (16 groups of 2dc + ch1)

R5: ch3 (1dc) + ch2, *2dc in next ch1sp + ch2*, repeat around from * to *, finish with 1 dc in last ch1sp, st in the 3rd ch from beg (16 groups of 2dc + ch2)

R6: ch3 (1dc), 1dc in ch2sp + ch3, *2dc in next ch2sp + ch3) * repeat around from * to *, sl st in the 3rd ch from beg. (16 groups of 2dc + ch3)

R7: ch3 (1dc) + ch1 *2dc in next ch3sp + ch1 + 2dc in same ch3sp + ch1*, repeat around from * to *, finish with 2dc in last ch3sp, ch1, 1 dc in last ch3sp, sl st in the 3rd ch from beg (32 groups of 2dc + ch1)

R8: ch3 (1dc), 1dc in same ch1sp + ch2, *2dc in next ch1sp + ch2*, repeat around from * to *, sl st in the 3rd ch from beg (32 groups of 2dc + ch2)

R9: ch3 (1dc), ch2 *2dc in next ch2sp + ch2) * repeat around from * to *, finish with 1dc in last ch2sp, sl st in the 3rd ch from beg. (32 groups of 2dc + ch2)

R10: ch1, **repeat 3 times *1sc in ch2sp, sc in next 2st*, then increase 2sc in ch2sp and sc in next 2st**

repeat around from ** to ** (104 sc)

R11: *1sc in next 12 sc, 2sc in next st* repeat around from * to * (112 sc, inc 8 st evenly)

R12: *1sc in next 27sc, 2sc in next st* repeat around from * to * (116 sc, inc 4 st evenly)
