Crocheted wrap with playful pompoms to snuggle up in

2025-03-18

Hello My Crochet Friends! Beautiful day everyone!

Do you like to snuggle up in a pleasant warm wrap over your back, or put a wrap around your waist or over your legs? This crocheted wrap will not only keep you pleasantly warm, but will also make you happy with its cheerful pompoms.

You can easily crochet this wrap in any length and width, according to your taste.

The wrap has a simple construction and cut that is easily adaptable to different sizes. There is no complicated shaping in the pattern. The wrap is crocheted as one piece and basically consists of 2 large rectangles with a "neckline" in the middle.

For this wrap, or wrap, I chose Cassandra yarn with cheerful pompoms.

Are you looking forward to a crocheted warm wrap with pompoms to make it special? I really enjoyed crocheting it and I hope you will too! So let's get straight to work!

NOTES ON THE PATTERN

1) Before you start crocheting, I recommend choosing the length you want the wrap to be.

2) The pattern below is for WOMEN'S size M, you can easily adjust it to your exact size by adding or subtracting the number of stitches and the number of rows, remember that for a larger size more yarn will be needed than stated above.

WOMEN'S SIZE

Wrap length: 75 cm

Total length of front and back pieces together: 150 cm

Back piece width: 60 cm Front piece width: 25 cm N

eckline width between front pieces: 10 cm

Note: the size is measured when laying and aligning the fabric on a flat surface (you can measure, for example, on a table), before the fabric stretches or tightens according to body circumferences.

3) The wrap is crocheted as one piece, the same front pieces and one back piece.

4) Crochet in rows back and forth.

5) 3ch at the beginning of the row serves as a substitute for a double crochet.

6) Instructions between two asterisks mean that the pattern repeats.

WOMAN SIZE

WRITTEN PATTERN

Before you start crocheting, measure the size – chest circumference, divide it by 2 and that will be the width of the crocheted front piece.

Next, measure the length – whether you want the wrap to be at the waist, over the hips, to the knees, etc. Multiply this length by 2.

The wrap is crocheted for women's size M.

img_6316-2.jpeg

Back piece and first front piece: First, crochet a flexible chain with single crochets. Or you can crochet a chain and single crochets in the next row.

R1: for size M I crocheted 100 stitches, turn

R2: 3ch (dc), 1 dc into each st to the end of the row. Turn

R3 - R9: repeat R2 If you want the wrap wider, crochet more rows. If you want the wrap narrower, crochet fewer rows.

Neckline:

R10: 3ch (dc), 1 dc into the next 49 sts (50 sts total) (if you have a different total number, crochet half of that number), turn

R11: 3ch (dc), 1 dc into the next 49 sts (50 sts total). Turn

R12: 3ch (dc), 1 dc into the next 49 sts (50 sts total) + chain 50 ch. Turn.

Back piece and second front piece:

R13: 2ch (dc), 1dc into the 4th ch from the hook, 1dc into each ch and into each st to the end of the row (100 sts), turn.

R14: 3ch (dc), 1 dc into each st to the end of the row. Turn

R15 - R21: Repeat row R14 until you have the same number of rows as on the first front piece. Last row:

R22: 1ch, 1sc into each st (100 sts) Cut the yarn and weave in the loose ends.

Additional tips: You can sew the side seams, sew on buttons for fastening, or crochet strings for tying.

Smooth and align the wrap and you have a beautifully warm and cozy piece with cheerful pompoms ready.
